Launching Constellation Survey Corps

I'm excited to announce a new companion game we're going to try on the site, Constellation Survey Corps (maybe we can call it CSC for short). That landing page explains how it works and how you can join in.

To pair with that, I've made a lot of updates on the Star Map. It now has a true parallax effect as you pan it around - providing a truer 3D bubble effect coming closer to match what is in the game.

I also created several badges you can earn, both for this game's Top Surveyors and for site Top Explorers, that are inspired by the NASA patches of today. Those you earn will show in various spots on the site. Check out the top of user profiles like mine to see some my account has earned thus far.

For the game, if you have already uploaded several photos tagged to locations, just visit that location on the Star Map in Surveyor mode (note the Map link in the header is a dropdown with more links now). Once you zoom into a selected planet, moon, or gas giant, you should see an Add Survey button. The form you get then will give you the option to create a new survey off images you upload there or ones you've already uploaded and tagged to that location. Then you just add your optional Field Notes. Think of it like creating a photo blog of your journey if you want.

Of course, all of this is a WIP that I'll constantly try to improve and iron out any kinks as it gets used. Feel free to reply with any issues or suggestions you have. Thanks for giving it a try!
