Improving albums, updating content, etc.

I know it's been a bit since I shared some news, so I wanted to fix that with a bit of news on recent and planned updates on the site.

Improved Photo Albums

Take a look at the photo albums on the site and you'll now see a better preview of some of the albums' content.

Another feature I'm bouncing around in my head is the concept of shared albums where we could contribute to a shared collection of photos that focus on a topic - such as documenting our favorite POIs or capturing the best biomes. Maybe people can earn points, badges, etc. for having the best photo in an album.

Updating Content

I've been going through some polls and quizzes adding content from the latest Free Lanes Update + Terran Armada DLC.

Other (Pending) Updates

  • Reddit importer has been breaking a lot lately, so I might have to remove some of that content from the site.
  • I want to add a "Recently Viewed Mods" panel for users of the site, so they can return to mods they recently viewed. I find myself needing it, so maybe others do as well. I might do some other changes to help browse mods better.

If it's alright, you might want to consider users being able to "upload" youtube videos, especially for players who want to share a moment/bug, for modders who want to showcase their work/WIPs, or for creatives who simply want to share youtube content directly here, (but aren't picked up by the Video feed).

Also with that in mind, having your own curation of videos (album/playlist) and/or combined media (articles/pictures/video) that you can share or keep private would be great as well. πŸ™‚

I like that idea. I'll add that to my to-do list. Thanks!

Right now, I have a few channels/playlists I pull in automatically without any review on my part. I then have a YouTube crawler that pulls in anything related to Starfield that I must then review in a queue. There are quite a few I reject publishing on the site - as you can imagine.
